Plant propagation and our first plant sale...

Joann, Paula, Linda, Cathy and Sherry, our MG from the east side of Lake Limestone

Carolyn and Ann....do we really know what we are doing???

Looking serious aren't they?   One of the group's favorite classes was on plant propagation, presented by Ima Jean, a MG from Waco.  She provided a multitude of plant varieties for us to practice with.

Here are a couple of photographs from our first plant sale...OMG...such a windy day...the set up crew was besieged with wayward canopies flapping every which way...that day we learned...how to tie down a canopy!

We provided 15 varieties of deer resistant plants,
along with pocket-size books about native plants,
their habitats, sun or shade, wet or dry...etc.

We're looking forward to our next plant sale on April 25, 2015, where we will correct our mistakes and move forward with a wide variety of plants for spring and summer plantings!  The locations will be shared soon.. In addition, on April 18th, we will be selling herbs in the empty lot next to Tractor Supply in Mexia.
Come join us both days and bring your checkbooks!
